I can't believe how well this adapter works. I bought it for my ASUS netbook... the range on the wireless adapter isn't fantastic and won't work in our basement family room. (the batcave) Even my regular laptop only gets one bar in the batcave, but the netbook couldn't even pick up the signal from my router on the main floor. I tried a Belkin extended range wireless usb adapter. It was no better than the wifi adapter in the netbook and the driver install blew away the setup for the internal router in the netbook without warning. After a quick system restore, I repackaged and returned the Belkin and ordered the GSky with panel antenna. I just installed it in less than 5 minutes with no harm to my existing wireless adapter setup and the range is unbelievable. I am getting all bars (excellent signal) in the batcave. I can't wait to try it downtown to see how many signals I can get now. If you have a basement family room... this is the $20 answer to your problem. The range on this thing is fantastic and so is the price.

I have a desktop in my house and a laptop in an office building which is a little over 300 feet away. I was sure hoping to find something that would carry the wifi signal and this adapter sure did the trick. I am receiving four out of five bars of signal strength and that is more than I could have ever hoped for. It was too easy. Just inserted the installation CD into my computer and just followed the screen commands. I was up and running and receiving a signal in about 10 minutes. This particular adapter was the lowest cost of the others and the technical data appeared to be very similar (if not the same) as the others. This thing is like an antenna on steroids! Now I need to be clear and fair about my computers and how they are laid out. My desktop computer (point of access) is deep in my house and not near any windows. There is a clear line of sight from the house to my office building 300 feet away and the laptop is sitting on a table about 3 feet away from a window which is facing the house. The speed on my laptop is amazing and I'm getting between 48 and 54 MBPS! Defininelty worth the money and the quick shipping from the seller was just an added bonus. Truly, a superb product at a great price!!

I bought this for my daughter's fiance's desktop computer, as their wireless router is not in the room where the desktop computer is located.
He was surprised to find out that he could install this and it would add wireless to his desktop computer.
He told me that it was easy to set up and works really well. He said the range is very good too.
He's very happy.

The Gsky is superior to the Alfa and cheaper! (I also have the Alfa)
At a distance of 325 feet from my router, the Gsky gives 85% signal with 90% signal quality.
This beats the Alfa by 20%. The Gsky software is stable, unlike the Alfa.
I needed to download drivers for Windows 7 from Realtek, no big deal.

I just purchased a second GSky Wireless Adapter and it is by far the best wifi adptr I've used. I've tried other products but I couldn't pick up a good signal (maybe 1 bar) if that, because I am using it so far away from my router. My router is about 250 - 400 feet away. Since I purchased the GSky Wireless Adapter, I always have a near perfect signal even from so far away. I have to admit that I am a true skeptic. I researched for weeks before I purchased this and then kept my receipt because I didn't know if I was convinced but I was once I used it. KEY POINTS for me: Easy to setup and use, Extreme Great Range, Extreme Great Signal, and once online don't have to worry about dropping signal also my computer goes just as fast as if it was hard wired. Hoped this helped.
