I bought 2 of these June 1, 2010 L. Yang (CA, USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I usually don't buy refurbed product. But, the reviewers on this forum had encouraged me and they were not wrong.
I purchased a wifi-n adapter with PCMCIA interace from D-link because of its extremely low price. It only works at 2.4GHz band and the software did not work reliably. I have to uninstall and reinstall the driver/software every a few days. I had followed many suggestions on the driver. None of them worked reliably. I gave up
All dual band wifi-n adapters are asking for ~70/pc. But, after studying the wireless connection, I finally concluded that you really need to move the antenna around to get an optimal reception. Cisco/linksys WUSB600N comes with a USB deck with a USB cable.
I followed the suggestion of many reviewer and ignore the installation guide from Cisco. I just connected the WUSB600N to my USB hub and put in the CD after requested by Window XP. And, it worked like chime. It picked up my wireless signal much faster than my old integrated wifi-g of my old HP laptop. It worked even better than the integrated wifi-n of my son's new HP envy 15 laptop.
So, I decided to buy a 2nd one for one of my desktop. It worked well similarly.
The seller shipped the product the next day I purchased and the product arrived ahead of the scheduled time.

I am using this adapter with a Linksys draft n router. It is a marriage made in heaven. They work seamlessly together. I can not praise this combo too much. The adapter functions flawlessly and works perfectly.

Seems to be the best combination so far. I'm using the adapter with a Linksys Wireless-N router.
Saved a lot of money February 2, 2010 Kevin Klemm (Chicago) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The packaged arrived a few days ago with everything that is included with the retail version of this adapter. I was skeptical about being a refurb, but I liked the idea that the refurb is a third of the price. I plugged this into my Windows 7 64-bit desktop, hit connect to network, put in my WEP key, and is now working 100% perfect.
Works great for me. February 6, 2010 Craig Jordan (Louisville, KY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The installation was very easy for this wireless adapter (as it should be). I've had no problems with it and have had great success. It runs very consistently for me at 150mps, which is more than enough for the internet surfing I do. It handles streaming video just fine. I cannot speak to any online gaming or downloading performance, I just don't do that...not for any reason other than I'm not particularly interested. So I don't know how effective this would be for that use. However, if you're doing basic e-mail, loading and saving of attachments, watching streaming video or just surfing, this adapter is very effective. I'm very happy with this purchase.
